Archie (Norman Reedus) is a small time crook who is hired by a travelling carnival owner, Ike (Armand Assante), to kill his wife, Divana (Dagmara Dominczyk). Archie decides to fake the murder after he falls for Divana, but is double-crossed and framed for the crime. Puzzled Archie heads to New Orleans in order to get answers, only to find out he was a pawn in a much larger game.
