The Russian mafia is ruled by the scrupulous Russian 'Godfather', Darius Paskevik (Bob Hoskins) and continues to create havoc through the country. A desperate Hungarian gyspey wants Darius out of his country and agrees to be a double agent for the FBI. US agent Mike Varga (Stephen Dorff) goes undercover and wins Darius' confidence but makes things more complicated when he falls for Darius' daughter.
