Tom Newman (Peter Weller) is an American engineer who has recently moved to Africa with is new wife Amy (Bridget Moynahan) and his kids Jessica (Carly Schroeder) and David (Conner Dowds). As Tom is working one day, the kids and step-mom head out on a safari and decide to go offroad. Problems develop when they stop for a bathroom break in the game reserve area and are surrounded by a pride of ravenous lions and the car breaks down, but when Tom hear's of the situation, he will stop at nothing to rescue his family.
