Army Ranger Jim Davis (Christian Bale) has recently been discharged and is haunted by nightmares of his military past. Jim spends his time between rural Mexico with his girlfriend (Samantha Esteban) and the streets of LA with his best friend Mike (Freddy Rodriguez). Mike is under pressure from his longtime girlfriend, Sylvia (Eva Longoria), to find a job, but instead of dropping off resumes, he is getting drunk and being reckless with Jim until things get out of hand.
