DIFF signs off in style with 'The Kite Runner'
As the curtains came down on the fourth Dubai International Film Festival yesterday and the illustrious red carpet was rolled out one last time, the much-sought-after child Afghan stars of the film, The Kite Runner, stepped out of their car, waved and smiled at the battery of cameras. The author of The Kite Runner, Khaled Hosseini, accompanied by actors Homayoun Ershadi and Khalid Abdalla walked the red carpet. The movie is an adaptation of Hosseini’s book, which goes by the same name and officially closed the film festival yesterday.
