SIT KOSAS ADYYAH (SIX ORDINARY STORIES)
Damascus has many taxi drivers, among them teachers, engineers, even military men, earning a second wage to boost insufficient incomes - a symbol of Sryia’s economic degradation. The drivers describe their lives under a depraved, archaic political system. In this particularly smart film we see how their destiny is forced upon them. Is Damascus a place of freedom, or a gigantic prison?
