The annual Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF) is back again for its fourth year and will be taking place from the 9th and 16th of December 2007. The eight-day festival will be the largest year yet, with a comprehensive array of international cinema and a large line-up of Arabic films from the Gulf States, the Levant, and North Africa. In all, there are 141 films from 52 different countries at the festival, with a total of 16 world premieres.

The DIFF program is divided into three main sections - Gala Screenings, Film Programs, and Special Events. The Gala Screenings will be held each night of the DIFF at Madinat Jumeirah and outstanding films will be shown. The Film Programs is the main section of the DIFF program which showcases films, documentaries, and shorts. The Special Events will have social events and panel discussions.

DIFF Box Offices are located at the Souk Madinat Jumeirah, the lobby of the CNN building at Dubai Media City, Cinestar at Mall of the Emirates, and the Grand Cineplex. All Box Offices are open from 10:00 to 22:00 pm, with the exception of the CNN Building, which will open from 10:00 to 18:00. DIFF Muhr Awards Competition
Dubai Film Festival will continue its Arab Film Competition to recognize regional and international Arab filmakers, with prize gives aways for totalling US$ 300,000 to recipients of the Muhr Award, which are selected by a prestigious international jury. The awards are categories into Muhr Feature Film Award, Muhr Documentary Award, and Short Films Award, and the winners films will be shown on the last day of the festival.

Cinema Against Aids Dubai
This event has been added to Dubail International Film Festival 2007, which will feature a rare and unusual luxury items that will be auctioned at the fundraising event. The auction will raise funds for The Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR), the world’s leading organization dedicated to the HIV/AIDS research, prevention, education, and public policy advocacy. amfAR Fundraising Chair Sharon Stone will preside over the envent, assisted by event chairs Michelle Yeoh, Abdul Majid al Fahim, and Satjiv S.
